Past Penelope

I've decided to start blogging-- this time for real.
The only thing that has really been discouraging me from posting frequently are my Past-Penelope posts.
They're pretty embarassing. Middle School was a very painful time and I almost wish it wasn't archived on this world wide web.
I have learned to push it aside though;"Fuck it in a bucket," as my mother would say.

Summer is ending and it has been a very monumental season for both myself and my community of youth peers. A lot of people have left. I miss them all very much, but I am receiving and feeling notions of independence that are very self satisfactory. Does this make any sense? Whatever.
I have accomplished so much this summer-- but at the same time I feel like I neglected it at certain points. I did fulfill a few of my many, many dreams. I finally processed and printed my own photos. I became a super 8 projector pro. I obtained a drum set. I became a better seamstress. I wrote and became a gluten/sugar free woman and lost over 10 pounds. I cut all my hair off. I realized/discovered what gender is, what it feels to be queer and how it feels to be open to all types of people and their trips. I feel like this is a new year. I also feel odd posting all of my thoughts publicly like this, but who really cares.
